James began his RNLI career in 2003 at Portsmouth crewing on their Atlantic 21 Inshore Lifeboat. He was made Assistant Mechanic in late 2003. James arrived in Dover as Full time Mechanic in December 2004. He brings with him a wealth of experience gained from his training as a Marine Engineer at VT Halmatic in Portsmouth where he worked on several Severn class lifeboats during their refits. He is proud to serve with the crew at Dover.
