| Tony joined the crew when the Southern Africa was still at Dover and became Coswain in 1978. He retired as Coxswain in 1999. He was awarded a Bronze medal in 1975, three Thanks on Vellum and a Long Service Award in 1983. In 1998 he was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. He was also awarded a Vellum by the Royal Humane Society in 1974 for the rescue of two boys from Dover Harbour. Today he acts as the Station's Press Officer and as one of the Deputy Launching Authorities. | ||
