| Dave was appointed Coxswain in 1999 on the retirement of Tony Hawkins. In 1991 he received the Thanks of the Institution on Vellum for his actions during a service to the yacht 'Phaedra'. During his four years as Coxswain he and his crew received several Letters of Thanks from the Director of the RNLI. He also became a bit of a television personality with appearances on the Generation Game, Confessions of a Lifeboat and Noel's House Party to name but a few. | ||
