Dover has had a lifeboat since 1837 and in 1855 the running of the station was taken over by the RNLI. Over the years this has meant that the Dover Station has seen huge changes in boats and technology. This section of the website which is still under construction will grow to give a history of Dover's Lifeboat Station.
